“Fantastic holiday”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2015

We had a mixed party of young children and teenagers and Villa Fina/Kalkan worked really well for both. Villa Fina has amazing views across the bay. The villa was clean and well equipped, and the wifi worked! The pool was lovely and we spent a lot of time in it. The villa is a good size even if there are six of you there. The top floor bedroom balcony was great at night to see all the lights down below. Highly recommended. It is a good walk down the hill to the town (but doable) or there are plenty of cheap taxis around. (or hire a car.)

“Our return trip to Villa Fina”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2015

This was our second visit to the lovely Villa Fina. We had our first trip to Kalkan last July and thoroughly enjoyed it. The villa is perfect for us as a family, we have two daughters aged 23yrs and 20yrs and our son aged 18yrs and the accomodation is perfect with its three en suit spacious bedrooms. The rest of the villa is spacious and cool and the views of the bay are stunning day and night. It took us around 20 minuets to walk into town each evening but as it is all down hill that was fine but we always took the taxi back each evening as it was too much of a climb to return on foot The taxi was only £3 to £4 each evening which for 5 of us we didn't think this bad. The villa now has wi fi and uk channels on the TV which we made use of. The pool area and terraces are kept immaculate.Viila Fina is just the perfect place to relax and unwind and we would highly recommend the villa. The only negative is because of its elevated position and the number of steps in and around the property it would not be suitable for the disabled nor elderly and infirm.

“Everything provided for a perfect holiday”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2015

Villa Fina is situated quite high up the hill overlooking Kalkan bay providing fantastic panoramic views at day or night. Although we hired a car, it is quite possible to walk down to the town from this area, taking around 20 minutes; most people take a taxi back, however, and with all the steps one has to have a moderate level of fitness and mobility. The villa is very well equipped to accommodate 6 guests, including a lovely pool area, good wi-fi, aircon and a safe. The villa was looked after during our stay by Nihat whose daily visits ensured cleanliness and comfort. I would definitely consider this villa again for our next trip to Kalkan.

“What a find!”

Reviewed 24 May 2015

Villa Kalkan was just wonderful. It has excellent amenities and such beautiful views from all the terraces. We were lucky enough to have the whole villa to ourselves but it is so roomy that it would comfortably accept 6 guests and allow each one to have their own privacy. We were spoilt for choice as to which bedroom to use and which bathroom! I found the bed in the room on the first floor a bit on the firm side and had to place a duvet on top of the mattress to make it a bit softer but my partner had no issues with it at all. The owner has also recently installed Wifi which was a huge plus for us, as was the satellite TV and English channels ..not that we watched much TV. We found the kitchen to be very well equipped and noted there wasn't a microwave but realised during the course of the week that we didn't really need one. The sofas in the lounge are very comfortable and it really does feel like a home from home ...maybe needing a few more framed pictures and even a clock! We loved the terraces and the pool is just the right size for dipping in and out of and keeping cool. We didn't attempt to walk down into town as my partner had hurt his back but we could see it wouldn't be a difficult walk (15 mins) but a bit too steep for us to walk back up ...thankfully we had a hire car and found it really easy to park in Kalkan ..even if some of the local driving is a bit erratic. There are so many restaurants in Kalkan to eat at that you would need to spend a month there to get round them all but our favourites were the Olive Garden, Moussaka and Aubergine ...all very reasonably priced and the rooftop terrace in the Olive Garden is beautiful and you get given a lot of freebies! Be cautious about ordering starters, as so many meals come with bread and dips/olives that you can sometimes fill up on those before your meal. There are many lovely individual shops in Kalkan, particularly leather bag shops and jewellery shops but we don't feel that all the bags advertised as leather really were, so just something to bear in mind. All in all we were delighted with our stay at Villa Kalkan as it is in a quiet location with wonderful views and the neighbours that live next door are a lovely couple who do not impose on you at all but are happy to help if you need any advice ..I just hope that everyone who comes to stay at Villa Kakan respects the fact that this is their home and allows them to enjoy the beauty and peace of the surroundings. Would not hesitate to come back here.

“Total Bliss and relaxation”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2014

The on-line photographs do not do this accommodation justice. It has spectacular views and it is as it says a "luxury villa". Everything is to hand that is needed for self catering with added touches such as a drinking water cooler and outside barbecue, large fridge and freezer and cooking facilities. For those who don't want to go to the town, the terrace is the most wonderful place to watch the sun set behind the mountains (especially with a mojito or two!). The Owners have obviously thought of what they themselves would need for a fabulous stay and equipped it accordingly. The pool is very private and well equipped with wonderfully comfortable sunbeds, parasols and the view from the infinity pool to the harbour and mountains is eye-catching and undisturbed which cannot be said from other villas in the same area. I stayed in the uppermost bedroom which had its own sun terrace and several mornings I watched the sun come up from that location, a relaxing start to the day. The rooms were pristine and clean, all fittings modern and well maintained and each bedroom had a well needed en- suite bathroom, my bedroom had the added luxury of a jacuzzi bath! Every room has its own air conditioning ( an absolute must!) The location was on the side of the mountain and the town is reached by a either a 15 min walk ( it is pretty steep and works the calf muscles!!) or a cheap taxi ride (£5). There are too many restaurants to mention but Aubergine and Alternative are a must for fine diners. All cater for children. The bars in Kalkan are friendly and welcoming but there is no waiter pushing you for custom. One in particular was the Moonlight bar which was always busy and the waiters especially made your stay a good experience ( Find the waiter called "Shirley" he was a total hoot and made everyone feel at ease). Price-wise it is perhaps a little more expensive than other resorts but that said having visited Olu Deniz, Hisoronu and Fettiye ( extremely commercialised) the hike in price is worth it. I would say that Kalkan is still more portuguese than these other resorts, the town is vibrant but still remains authentic. Some places to visit : Patara Beach, Kas, Kaputos Beach, Saklikent Gorge. This is a wonderful villa situated in a beautiful location. I would return again and again and have made a booking for 2015

“A brilliant villa in a beautiful setting”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2014

Villa Fina was everything we could have ever wished for when booking our first holiday away as a group of friends. Although the villa sleeps 6, only 4 of us went and had plenty of room. The whole house has air conditioning and it was a real plus having a bathroom and a view in every room. Every room was immaculate on arrival and we even received a welcome pack of fruit, vegetables, cheese, milk, bread etc. for the first day. The outside seating area and pool area were spacious and peaceful and the beautiful view was totally undisturbed as there were no buildings directly in front of us. The pool was brilliant and really made the villa but it is a bit deep throughout and may not be suitable for younger children. Kalkan is a brilliant place and we can't wait to go back again. We would highly recommend the villa for groups of friends or families looking for a relaxing place to stay. Andy was very helpful and made booking and finding out information very easy. Nihat was very friendly on arrival and the neighbours were extremely helpful in finding taxis for us, explaining where the villa is, and letting us use their wifi :)

“Pure bliss at Villa Fina”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2013

Villa Fina is in the most perfect location in Kalkan, Turkey. The villa has everything you would need for your stay, and views which you could never get tired of as they are stunning. You do need to be pretty fit to walk into town, however taxis are always available at a small cost. The villa has a wonderful 'man Friday' called Nihat who is there on arrival to make you feel at home, and always there to help if you need anything. I would not hesitate to recommend the villa and would love to return.

“Amazing holiday”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2013

We have just returned from having spent 2 weeks at Villa Fina, and had a fantastic time. We have 2 children aged 6 and 9 and they loved it as well. Having stayed in Kalkan last year we chose a villa further out of town and higher up the hill so we could appreciate the view over the town...we weren't disappointed! Knowing the area we knew what to expect, but if you do not know the area I would suggest if you have a very young family you may want to hire a car as the walk in to town is quite steep and you wouldn't want to walk back. That said our boys managed the walk in to town (approx 15 mins) quite happily and we got a cab back which cost around 15 Lira.

“No question a great place to stay”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2013

Kalkan is a very homely fishing town that has changed to a tourist trap for many age groups. The Villa has a excellent view looking over the bay, town and hills that surround Kalkan. The Villa is clean and spacious, and provides all the amenities you require in a self catering holiday. The booking of the Villa with Andy was easy and he provided so much information and contacts of what to do and where to go the whole trip has been relaxing. The outside pool area is cleaned daily, and the Villa gets a top to bottom clean on Sundays. The guy who deals with this (Nihad) is such a nice guy and helpful. We would recommend the Villa and the town of Kalkan to anyone.

“Comfortable Villa with excellent views”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2013

The views from this 3 bedroomed villa from around a well kept poolside are some of the best in Kalkan. The Villa is well maintained and inside clean and airy. I would recommend Villa Fina to anyone thinking of a stay in Kalkan
