“Will definately be visiting again”
My family and I had a great stay at this property. The house was very clean and very well equipped. Its situated in a lovely part of the estate over looking a small lake.
“Lower Mill Estate - the idyllic English countryside retreat for all ages, activities and sheer relaxation.”
This is a return visit to Lower Mill Estate for our family. This time we wanted to try an accomodation that provided a pass to the luxuries of the ArtSpa. The Cotswolds Water park is perfect for quiet multi-generational holidays. It combines beautiful nature reserves and countryside, has a wide range of onsite and nearby outdoor activites, access to wildlife parks, the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds and a short drive if you have teenagers/young adults that still want the facilities of a town/city. We are already considering a return visit because it really ticks all the boxes and you relax and recharge as soon as you arrive! A quality accomodation and location.
“Alternative Christmas Stay”
We stayed here with our 2 dogs for Christmas week The house slept 6 adults comfortably, although there were beds for 8 - that would have been a bit tight! We arrived to a clean, well equipped house which even had a Christmas tree and lovely views over a small lake where we saw ducks and swans on a daily basis. I think if we had not had the dogs they would have been right up on the decking! There are fantastic walks close by and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves, although a mop for the floor and a short length of hose for the outside tap would have been useful when we returned! There are superb facilities on site including playground, tennis courts, spa and swimming pool. We had my 84 year old father with us who struggled a bit with dressing etc as the beds were a bit low. Excellent food at nearby pubs - The Bakers Arms at Somerford Keynes is within walking distance. A tip - try and arrive in day light as the area is very dark and that made getting round very difficult! The instructions given were excellent, it is just so dark!

We are of course very disappointed about the way you have received our standard code of conduct and return of items left behind. Firstly when you booked on our website and before you made a payment, the code of conduct (a standard document that is presented to every guests that books rental accommodation on Lower mill estate, through private owner or agent like ourselves) was displayed on our website during your booking process and you had to tick that you read and understood the code of conduct before you made the payment. I am a little confused to why you are suggesting that we did not disclose this information to you prior to you booking. In fact when you did book on line and you ignored the fact that we request that we cannot accept the same sex parties unless you contact us prior to booking. I spite of that you went ahead and booked. We only established that you are a single sex party after you booked and we chased you regarding break down of your party. I contacted you and explained that we can not accept single sex parties of more then 6 and you booked for 8 females. You reassured me that you were coming to chill out and as a result I did not cancel your booking in spite of the fact that I was breaking the estate rules by allowing 8 females. Our contract states that we request that you bring a maximum of 4 cars; you declared 9 cars a week prior to your arrival with only 8 guests? We had some concerns about your party and as a result we did attach the code of conduct again with your arrival details as we were the same document that you would have to read and acknowledge when you booked on line. Yes we do explain the charges for return items, and the clients that leave belongings behind understand that if the postal charge is lower then our fixed charge, remaing money is donated to Christies a Cancer charity. We look after 16 properties at Lower Mill and have been operating on the estate for 8 years now and this is a very first time that we have offended a guest with the code of conduct. We have to follow the estate rules as a failure to do so will result in us loosing license to operate but most importantly we are trying to ensure that Lower Mill is a leading location for families looking to spend time in a peaceful, family orientated environment. You comment that you have paid a lot of money to stay, your stay worked out at £40.00per person per night, I hope you agree that this represents great value for money.
“Great property with everything we needed for a fabulous weekend.”
The house was perfect for our needs, really clean and with plenty of space for four adults, four children and a baby. The house was well stocked with equipment for cooking and relaxing with a lovely big table outside which got the sun all afternoon and evening. An extra bonus was the baby equipment, a cot, high chair and stair gate took the stress out of packing. We were met by John, who explained everything about the house and left just as the ocado delivery arrived, a really stress free break. The spa area in Lower mill was fabulous, both pools were really warm and because the sun was shining we felt like we could have been anywhere! If you want a treatment in the spa though it is worth booking in advance.
Booked this break for a family get-together. 6 adults. We all had a great time. House was a delight-very clean, spacious and had all the comforts of home. The resort itself was great. Pool was a joy, spa was grand. Hired bikes to explore a beautiful and welcoming area. Pubs and restaurants provided great service and terrific food. We all look forward to our next visit.
“Brilliant Easter Weekend!”
The booking, follow up information and customer service was exemplary! I would certainly recommend this holiday. I had planned an Easter Break away with a large number of my family and the Cotswolds Spa Holidays accomodation was just perfect. A lovely modern and high spec 3 storey house with a great view of a lake that housed Swans and ducks. My children loved it! They also loved the indoor and outdoor heated pool at the Spa!. The location was perfect as well and we took the opportunity of visiting some beautiful villages. We are already planning a return trip in the summer!!
“Homely, relaxing and fun weekend away with friends”
Our stay in Howells Mere 48 was lovely. I have stayed at the park in a different home before which was a really lovely experience. This experience equalled if not exceeded my expectations. Being the organiser of this trip, I think what did it for me was the great customer service. On the date of arrival we were met and introduced to the waterpark. All our questions were answered and really welcomed. We had a few cars and great advice was given on how to make parking easier. We were also talked through various different walking routes and things we can do in the surrounding area. Thank you to Cotswolds Spa Holidays for dealing with our booking and accommodating our needs. We were provided with all the information we needed including maps and facility details. The whole process from booking through to end of stay was so stress free and easy. Really made our stay that much more enjoyable. The property was great, really clean, tidy. The kitchens and bathrooms were spotless. Very happy and no complaints what so ever. In the evenings the feel in the cottages was lovely. Really warm and the log fires were incredible. A great break away from London. To be honest there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It was just great in all respects. Loved the fact that there was a spa and we all got to use the facilities. Thanks again and will definitely be booking again soon.
“Perfect for a luxury break with friends or family”
I recently stayed at 48 Howells Mere on the Lower Mill Estate with a group of friends for a weekend and we could not fault this property, the lovely location or the fantastic on site facilities. The house itself was spotlessly clean, in a perfect quiet location and beautifully decorated with everything provided that you might require for a short or longer stay. The property comes with free access to the amazing ArtSpa which includes an indoor and outdoor heated pool - which you can swim in whatever the temperature or weather outside - as well as all the usual spa treatments such as massages and facials. Several of our group took advantage of these and they were reasonably priced and very good. There are also lots of public footpaths closeby for walks close to the site and other towns within easy access. Altogether I would say this property combines a little bit of luxury in beautiful surroundings and is excellent value for money particularly for a group or family.

We booked this property for four couples for a two night stay. The booking was easy, Kasha was able to answer all queries prior to booking. The directions and information provided was very helpful. The property was exactly as advertised. Very clean and well appointed, in a superb setting. The estate is a very interesting development with many different styles of property together with a free spa and a small shop on site. There are numerous walks around the lakes of the Cotswold Water Park, on this occassion we were not adventurous enough to try any water sports that are on offer down the road. Overall the experience was excellent, we had a fantastic time and could not have asked for more from the property and the service provided by the proprietors. I would definitely recommend this to similar groups.

Really enjoyed our stay in this modern terraced home. I organised for a group of friends to stay at this property and it was such a lovely weekend. It's very quiet by the lake and everyone is really friendly and polite. The property is in a very secure location with private gates to access the 350 properties. There is also a spa on site where visitors can use the facilities and really relax during there stay. I would Highly recommend!
