Comment s'y rendre
Alpendorf is located 35miles (50kms) south of Salzburg and 3km from the main town of St Johan im Pongau. St Johan is well connected to Salzburg via the main railway line and motorway. Several budget and holiday carriers fly into Salzburg, including Jet 2, Ryanair, Lufthansa, Thomson, and British Airways.Easyjet and several main carriers fly direct to Munich. Munich airport is a transfer of approximately 2 hours via autobahn or could be travelled by train via Salzburg and onto St Johan. A regular bus service operates from St Johan to Alpendorf and runs through the village. Taxi's can be located outside the Gondola station. Hire cars are available at the airports. I'd recommend searching out the best deal via carhire search websites such as Auto Europe, Holiday Autos and Carhire 3000.
A car is advised for the convenience of getting to the apartment, access to shops and enjoying other nearby Ski Amade ski centres. However it is not essential with a local spar shop, a short walk to the Alpendorf piste, local buses and taxis.

Déplacements
A car is useful, but not essential if you plan to the bus times. There is an reliable network of ski buses in the region which can be used to get to and between resorts. There is a ski bus stop on the road just beside the apartment. However the recent addition of link lifts between Alpendorf and Flachau and onward from Flachau to Kleinarl / Zauchansee means there is little reason to use a ski bus to get more variety. If you have a car, then you will have the option to conveniently visit a number of other ski areas within 20-30 minutes of the apartment including Grosarl, Altenmark, Eben, Dorfgastein, Angertal, Muhlbach, Dienten. Or take a trip in the evening to the Thermal Baths at Altenmark for some fun or relaxation.
