Where are we?
The Alpujarras is situated in Andalucia, between the Sierra Nevada mountains and the coast of southern Spain. Cortijo Opazo can be found high in the Alpujarras between Pitres and Pórtugos, amongst a collection of villages called 'La Taha'. The house is situated on a steep hill leading down from the village of Portugos to the village of Atalbeitar. Access to the door is by public highway, and whilst the road is not in top condition you don't need to drive along a track or unmade surface. The nearest large town is Orgiva, about 25kms south west of us.
How to reach us?
Flights
Malaga airport is about two hours by car and Almeria within about two and a half hours drive from us. Most of the big airlines fly to these destinations.
Transfers
The easiest way to reach us from the airport is by hiring a car. A bus service runs from Granada three times a day. It is possible to arrange for a car to meet you at the airport, please contact us to discuss feasibility and cost.
On arrival you will be met by the English speaking owners who live on hand and will be able to offer help during your stay, should you need it.

Déplacements
La plupart des clients choisissent de louer une voiture et c'est la meilleure façon de nous rejoindre et de voyager et de voir les sites touristiques. location de voiture est économique raisonnable en Espagne. Il y a un service de bus dans la région de Grenade qui se déroule trois fois par jour. Avec une planification minutieuse, il est possible d'arriver ici sur un bus de Grenade ou Malaga, et que les magasins sont à quelques pas du Cortijo (1,5 km), il est possible de passer des vacances reposantes ici sans voiture - beaucoup de nos en maison promenades commencent et se terminent à Cortijo Opazo.
