The best thing about a private island is: PRIVACY. There are no neighbors, no water taxi, no bridge. The second most important thing is: you have to do your own boating. Somebody in your party must be comfortable operating a boat to get you all back and forth to the island from the mainland. The island is not far across the water -- only 1/4 mile from our local marina -- but it does require a boat. You can bring your own canoe, kayaks, or runabout, or you can rent one locally. We have two outboard motor skiffs available for rent on request.
