Arriving from Heraclion:Follow the national road to Chania, and follow the exit to Kalives. Then follow the signs for Vamos. After you pass the small Tsivaras Village, and before Vamos, you will follow the signs to Douliana (left and the left again)As soon as you enter Douliana, the 1st building that you will meet in your left is an old Carpentry Shop (notice the big black wooden saw than hangs over door). Nuits à Douliana sont uniques. Ne soyez pas un touriste. Mélanger avec les gens du coin et profiter de quelques moments rares authentiques d'une culture qui est en train de disparaître. Banque, bureau de poste, centre de santé, les bâtiments et les installations de la municipalité, la police, des tavernes, et beaucoup de magasins, super marchés et objets d'artisanat local se trouvent dans les villages environnants de Kalives, Vamos, Almyrida et Gavalohori. En Douliana il y a une cafenio, (café), un mini-marché, deux tavernes qui visite vaut la peine. Vous trouverez un intéressant musée folklorique dans le village voisin de Gavalohori. En seulement 3 kilomètres, vous pouvez nager sous les drapeaux bleus des plages de Kalives, Almirida et Kera, et en même temps très proche de nombreuses destinations marche / trekking.
