Driving directions from Malaga airport

All traffic has to leave the airport in the same direction. Follow the signs pointing left to Malaga / Cordoba /Seville and take the new flyover which brings you onto the ring road. Once on the ring road follow signs for Antequera /Granada /Cordoba /Seville which take you onto A45 (Motorway).

Once on A45 continue for approx. 35km and exit at the junction, signed Casabermeja / Villanueva de la concepción /Colmenar (No. 124)

Come down off the motorway and you will come to a service station on your right. Bear left and follow signs to Casabermeja & Villanueva de la concepción. The road goes left back under motorway and you come to a roundabout, take the 1st right hand exit and follow this road away from village. Road splits into 3 parts at approx. 1.5km, keep in the middle road and you’ll come to a T junction. Turn left , following signs to Villanueva de la concepción and Almogia. This road provided you don't turn off will bring you into the village of Villanueva de la concepción at approx. 14km.

When you reach the top of the village at the T junction, turn right, signposted towards El Torcal / Antequera. At approx. 1km you will see a sign saying "Carretera de montana” take the 1st track on the right after this by a large rubbish bin. (Km 37 marker)

If you look up, (providing it’s daylight of course!!) you’ll see a very big house high up on the far hillside…….that’s la Solana.

Follow this track passing through one farm, then another (please be on the lookout for dogs /goats etc. laying in the track!). After approx. 2 km, when you have exited the last farm you’ll see Cortijo la Solana - it’s the big house right at the end of this track. The last 200m up the hill is hard stone and dirt; please take care if it has been raining …its fine for 51 weeks of the year..!

When you reach the top you will notice TWO ENTRANCES / EXITS, please turn carefully left, through the SECOND of these concrete entrance ways.

PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR SLEEPING / EXCITED DOGS!!

Keep right and continue all the way around the back of the house, drop down until you reach a flat parking area where you will see some large metal gates. Park up and enter through the gates to access both the Cortijo and Casita.
