Comment s'y rendre
If you travelling by car you can either take ferry from Southampton to East Cowes or from Portsmouth to Fishbourne. The Southampton route is a longer crossing but is often cheaper.
If you are travelling without a car then you can travel by passenger ferry from Southampton to West Cowes or from Portsmouth to Ryde. The routes are similar in cost and crossing time (about 20 minutes) but arriving in Ryde allows you to get a train direct to Sandown. Arriving in West Cowes means getting a taxi, hiring a car or getting 2 buses.
