The House on the Hill is part of Hillhouse Farm Escapes, Hillhouse Farm, Lauder, Scottish Borders, TD2 6RD.

Most of our guests arrive by car but it is entirely do-able to come on public transport from Edinburgh. The farm is about a mile from the nearest bus stop (on the A68 by Carfraemill hotel) and regular buses head to Edinburgh and to Border towns. See the Munroes of Jedburgh website where you'll find details for bus number 51 - only the major stops are listed on the timetable, but buses also stop at Carfraemill between the stated Lauder Cross and Oxton departure times. You just stick your hand out when the bus is coming!
