Comment s'y rendre

Lanzarote Airport is located in the town of San Bartolomé, five kilometers from Arrecife, the capital of the island. We recommend renting a car during your stay on the island, in order to independently explore the various beaches, coves and scenery offered by this fantastic island. Anyway, if you want to rent a car, we indicate the best ways to move from the airport to different cities:

TaxiTaxi

There are two taxi stands at the airport of Lanzarote, one in front of Terminal 1 and the other in front of Terminal 2, in both cases on the ground 0 in front of the arrivals. Avoid taking a taxi outside these stops if is not accredited.

Cab fares are regulated prices and have the following rates:

- Tariff 1 (Weekdays 6h to 22h):

Minimum: 3,15 €

Price / km: 0,55 €

Price/15 minutes: 3,76 €

Supplement airport: 1,70 €

- Tariff 2 (Holidays and Weekdays from 22h to 6h):

Minimum: 3,45 €

Price / km: 0,63 €

Price/15 minutes: 3,76 €

Supplement

airport: 1,7 €

Another option is to search through internet different private companies that offer transfers from the hotel. Remember that if you want to use your services, you must book before you arrive.

Bus

The bus stops are located in front of the arrivals terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the Lanzarote airport - Arrecife.

The destinations, frequency, times and prices, will depend on the line to take, we recommend looking at the official website of bus service for a complete and updated information.

Travelling

Birmingham airport had temperature checks on arrival, compulsory to wear face coverings, all set up for social distancing. Absolutely fine, far better than ‘normal’, albeit it was quiet.

The day before the flight Ryanair text me, and emailed me with an attachment for the health/location questionnaire which is required to enter at Lanzarote. I downloaded the SPth app (on Android) rather than go through the form. It was simple & easy to complete, they are individual apps/forms (can’t be don’t as a group). This gives you a QR code. On arrival at the airport there was a queue for the forms, we went straight through with the QR code. Trust me, it is simple. I sat by a couple who were not aware of the form, she said she had received an email from Ryanair but hadn’t read it !!! Forms were NOT available on the plane, and the crew were unaware. You will need either a QR code, or need to complete a form.

Playa Blanca

Like many resorts, it needs tourists to come back to get functioning to full capacity again, and find the ‘new normal’. There are bars open, and a few restaurants. They are signs others are starting to open up. The people are friendly & welcoming, and they need your support. If you’ve never hired a Villa before, it could be a great way to see PB & use the local shops/bars/restaurants supporting the local economy rather than the large hotel chains, which at the moment don’t seem open.

Face masks are required when you enter shops, and you will be temperature checked, hands sanitised. It seems odd to start with, but then you remember Lanzarote is virtually free of CV19, that is probably why. I certainly feel safer here than in the UK.

It is still a stunning resort, with fab weather, the beaches are all open (with social distancing), & we’ve not struggled to find a bar / restaurant to go to.
