We’re well connected for the main routes to Lisbon, the free summer open top Foz bus (runs weekends late July – August) stops just next door and we’re a short car ride to all the amenities of Caldas da Rainha. Day time buses from Foz to Caldas & Obidos and local taxi firms are available. We recommend a car to make the most of exploring the local area - to get here it's really easy - hire a car from the airport, hit the A8 all the way & come off at the signs for Foz (junction 19 is best to take in the sweeping views of the lagoon as you head down the hill to the house). If not, get a train from Lisbon or Porto to Caldas da Rainha and grab a cab to the house. Let us know if you need taxi details in advance.

For a change of scene, head 20 minutes north to Sao Martinho, Salir do Porto and the world class surf of Nazare. 15 minutes inland takes you to the walled medieval town of Obidos with its year-round festivals, and a 10-minute drive takes you to the historic spa town of Caldas da Rainha, with plenty of shops and supermarkets. Close by is a number of golf courses, and Lisbon is less than an hour's drive.
